About Me

Kristen
During 2010 I will live, study, and volunteer in Cape Town, South Africa as a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar in an effort to achieve Rotary's Mission of "service above self". I represent the Mount Pleasant Rotary Club in South Carolina and am hosted by the Rotary Club of Sea Point in Cape Town. I will also be working on my Masters in International Relations. My research interests include human rights, international relations, human trafficking (modern slavery), and labor migration. My hobbies include traveling, surfing, scuba diving, and spending time with family and friends. I have a deep love for people, a desire to improve the lives of those around me, and a passion for life and glorifying God in all that I do.
